Homework plays an important role in helping students develop academic skills, responsibility, and ownership. For your child to benefit from completing homework, it is best if s/he has a quiet place and a designated time to work on assignments. For more homework tips, please check out the links below.

DAILY HOMEWORK includes anything that students did not finish during the school day that is due the next school day. In addition, students will receive a daily homework assignment to practice, review, or extend on a lesson or activity that was completed at school. These daily homework assignments could take as long as 30 minutes. READING AT HOME for at least 15 minutes a day is also beneficial.

Daily homework assignments may require students to use their math, science, or social studies textbooks. All of these are available online by visiting the appropriate page on www.mrspatton.com.

If you or your child has a question about a specific homework assignment, please email me so I can do my best to assist you.

Study Island is also a great resource for additional practice. Some of the daily homework assignments will be generated using Study Island. Students can log on at anytime.

For specific homework assignments, please check out Mrs. Patton's Annex and click on The Planner Page. You can also find homework listed on the Parent Portal.
