Obj:   to become familiar with morning procedures, to follow written and verbal directions, to appropriately socialize with students in the group, to use time effectively to complete tasks/assignments

 

Students will complete the following tasks:

  • Complete the Morning Routine.
  • Partner check: Is your partner at school today? If not, set up the absent folder and form.
  • Read the Morning Message and follow any included directions.

Virtual Morning Meeting (to do any chance you have “free class time”):   Go to our moodle classroom, then to the Starting Place, then to Community Sharing (top of page).  Start a new topic and share.  Be sure to read what others have posted.  I have already posted my comment.

Social Studies

How to create a Word doc and “send” it to Powerpoint – This will help you to focus on the content of you presentation first, and to organize everything in a modified outline.  I will teach you how, and then you will try it out on your own.  You will also have time this afternoon to work on this with your team.

1.     Equal fractions – finish equal fractions chart and “equality chains”.

2.    Use the Tower of Bars to find all fractions equal to ½ .  Find the equality chain on your chart.

3.    Follow this process for 1/3, 2/3, 3/4, and 2/5.

We will read this passage together and practice drawing conclusions using the text to support those conclusions.  Students will then read independently and draw conclusions while reading and complete handout 53.

1.       Lesson 25 pretest on www.spellingcity.com

 – Be sure to print your results.  We will share Tic Tac Toe activities tomorrow before you start on the new set.

2.      Work on your Social Studies presentations.  Be sure to finish your Word doc first, then send it to Powerpoint.

3.    Once you complete the step described above, you may begin adding the animation, colors, and clip art.  Remember…PICTURES (see posted flyer in classroom).
