Obj:   to become familiar with morning procedures, to follow written and verbal directions, to appropriately socialize with students in the group, to use time effectively to complete tasks/assignments

 

Students will complete the following tasks:

  • Complete the Morning Routine.
  • Partner check: Is your partner at school today? If not, set up the absent folder and form.
  • Read the Morning Message and follow any included directions.

MORNING WORK

1.      Clean up your “work station” and collect all personal items out of the center “caddy”.  Have everything ready to go on your chair.  We will switch seats after the Morning Meeting.

2.    Estimation practice – Be sure to select “Continue as a guest”.  DO NOT REGISTER!!

1.     Weekly Homework discussion and sample problem à HW due Friday.

2.    Review multiplication situations– whole class and small groups

3.    Review division situations – also whole class and small groups

4.    HOMEWORK: Study for your quiz.  Use all notes, handouts and worksheets to study.  Practice working out problems again, to be sure you understand how to solve them.

Lang. Arts

1.     Lesson 21 spelling pretest – Print your results and save them in your binder.

2.    Persuasive essay à Continue with the revising stage of the Writing Process.  Maybe do a peer conference too.

·         GOAL FOR THE WEEK:  Finish revising, then edit your essay. Here is another useful link to help you edit.  Publishing is the last step, and for now, that will involve typing your essay (free of spelling, grammar, and mechanical errors).  Once you have had at least one conference, with either a peer or with your teacher, then you many publish.
