  • Partner check: Is your partner at school today? If not, set up the absent folder and form.
  • Read the Morning Message and follow any included directions.

1)    Lesson 19 spelling pretest

2)   Persuasive writing – writing workshop interactive lesson online: Students will complete the first two mini-lessons as part of the whole class.  Then, students will begin working on their writing piece by following the interactive writing workshop tool online, step by step.  The rough draft of the persuasive writing piece (about why the person you chose to research deserves a postage stamp) is due Thursday.

2.    Continue reading about your famous African-American.  Identify facts and opinions OR read independently (non-fiction is preferred in order to find facts and opinions), and search for facts and opinions.

1.      Weekly Homework discussion and sample problem

2.    Create a problem and solve it for 13 x 32.  No calculators or standard algorithms.  J

3.    Now write a division situation that corresponds to the problem above.
