  • Complete the Morning Routine.
  • Partner check: Is your partner at school today? If not, set up the absent folder and form.
  • Read the Morning Message and follow any included directions.

Dear Rejuvinated Students,
     So glad to see you all!!  I hope you enjoyed your vacation and are ready to be back at school.  I know it isn’t easy to get back on schedule, but we will work through it together.  After all, WE ARE A TEAM!!

     Please have your planner out so those can be filled out soon.  Be sure to read the Daily Plans for today so you know what to expect for today.  Then, you may get started on the Morning Work below.

Mini lesson: Finding ideas – Students will make a topic list and share to generate a class topic list.  Mrs. Patton will model how to take an idea from the list and write about it.

 

Try it out: Students will have independent writing time.

NOTE:  Drivers will take the spelling pretest while navigators write independently.  Students will then switch.

Dear Terrific Teammates,

     Good day to ya!  Did you know that tomorrow is the last day of 2nd quarter?  Hard to believe we’re at the half-way point of the 2008-2009 school year.  This is a great time to reflect on the first half and set goals for the second half.  If you need help with this, please come see me.  I’d be more than happy to help you look at your strengths, and how to improve in other areas.

     Please read the Daily Plans for today.  Keep in mind that all assignment, unless otherwise noted, are due tomorrow.  Any late work will be recorded as a zero and will be reflected on your report card.

Dear Super Students,

     You did it!  You made it through the first week of school in 2009.  I knew you could do it!!  J  Be proud of what you accomplished this week.  Think about what you have learned.  Start planning for next week.

     For morning work today, you’ll study for the spelling test.  We will fill out planners around 9:15, and we’ll begin Social Studies at 9:20.  Let’s work together to stay on track.

     Just a reminder…You have a Social Studies assignment that is due Monday.  Any free time today could and should be spent working on that assignment.  Finally, if you haven’t turned in your Weekly Math Homework, that is due today.  So is Student Sheet 14, also a math assignment.
