READING REMINDER…

S.T.A.R. – Stop, Take a book And Read – This is reading time that students participate in DURING our reading instruction time.  Students should be working on a reading skill while reading, “talking back to books,” and reflecting on their own progress as a reader.  Students should read a Just Right book at this time.

R.F.E. time – Reading For Enjoyment – This is reading time that students participate in at the beginning or end of the day, or when all assignments are finished.  Students can read an Easy, Just Right, or Challenging book.

MORNING
WORK

Happy New Year!!!  Let’s wake up those brains after your long break.  Check out the links below with your partner.

·         Bang on Time – You can adjust the clocks hands speed, but not to be less than 3.

·         Stop the Clock – How quickly can you match the times?

·         Periods of Time

The times and activities scheduled below will take place around the “start time” listed in the left-hand column.  After each lesson or class activity, you will then have time to work on a variety of assignments.  Think of it like a menu: You have several items to choose from and your goal is to have everything on the menu.  J  To help you, you’ll receive a sheet to record what you work on.  Remember?  We talked about being accountable.
This sheet will help with that.
