Dear 5th Graders,

     I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  Welcome back to Room 22.  Please review the Daily Plans for today so you know what is going on.

     Be sure to turn in your Friday Folder, field trip info, and/or notes from home.  Also, your Social Studies writing project is due today and should be turned in.

     For Morning Work, please grab an atlas. Then you may use games that are listed on the Social Studies page.  We will begin our Social Studies review lesson at 9:20.  The planner page will be up before the bell rings.

1)    Listen to We’ll Never Forget you Roberto Clemente.  As we listen, practice the skill of drawing conclusions.  Throughout the story, I will pause and ask questions.  All students should be prepared to answer.

2)   Complete the practice pages for vocabulary and the skill.  Turn them in.

3)   Assessment: Write a letter to Roberto’s family. à Due Monday (in-class only)
