Spanish Club is an extracurricular club that meets after school for an hour, each Wednesday, for ten weeks. There is a 10-week session for fourth graders during the first semester, and a 10-week session for fifth graders during the second semester. The club meetings give students a chance to learn the language at a beginner's level. The Spanish alphabet is taught, as well as numbers, colors, days of the week, months of the year, parts of the body, family vocabulary (like: padre, madre, hermano), and school vocabulary. Students participating in this club will also learn a little about the Spanish culture, and a fiesta is held during the tenth week.
